Thank you for your interest in Sabbath-Day Woods. Sabbath-Day Woods, was started by Furniture Artist: Desmond Suarez in 2001. Desmond is a second generation furniture maker, and has designed and made fine furniture and Accessories for over 23 years. Each piece is carefully handcrafted to reflect God's beautiful creation that is found in natural wood. I use the finest Appalachin hardwoods, the best of traditional joinery, and an exceptional hand-rubbed finish to create heirloom pieces. Most of my designs are inspired by traditional American craftsmen including the Shakers and the Arts & Crafts Movement. My approach in handcrafting every item is to take a page from the Shakers, and only craft "Simply the Best". This insures that your purchase of my art/craft will last for generations to come.
